This workshop will provide Defense and Transportation leadership an opportunity to emphasize the critical roles of the National Port Readiness Network (NPRN), the Commercial Transportation Industry, and the U.S. Transportation Infrastructure in supporting DOD deployments to all stakeholders. The goals of the workshop are to:
- Encourage continued focus by commercial strategic port authorities and NPRN member organizations on maintaining and improving readiness to support military deployments and the Warfighter.
- Develop recommendations for enhancing the readiness posture of the commercial strategic ports, improving NPRN processes for all stakeholders, including receiving and processing the Department of Defense (DOD) cargo during contingency operations.
- Provide training and address stakeholder concerns.
